Emerging out of the need for something different and to showcase the beauty and benefits of getting outside both brands’ stories have so many twists and turns to tell. Join Brian Beckstead, Altra Co-Founder and Steve Cram CBE, Kielder Marathon Founder, as they dissect the highs and lows of building their respective Brands, what its meant to them and the journey the running industry has gone through in the last 15 years.

  • Brian Beckstead- Co-founder of Altra, ultra runner and adventurer. Brian helped build Altra around a simple idea: that running shoes could be designed differently. His passion for running, the outdoors and challenging convention has helped turn Altra into a global running brand.
  • Steve Cram – Kielder Marathon founder, former world record holder and one of Britain’s best-known athletics commentators. Steve has spent decades at the heart of elite athletics and has brought that experience into creating an event that celebrates running, participation and the spectacular Kielder landscape.
