Do you think you can Beat the Bull. Here’s your chance! Run the Kielder 10K around the stunning Bull Crag Peninsula of Kielder Water.
If the full marathon is not quite for you, don’t despair you can still enjoy the stunning scenery and join us on Saturday October 5th 2013 for possibly the most Beautiful 10K in the UK (unofficial factoid!)
Start and Finish location is Leaplish Waterside Park. The route takes you off around the lakeside way on a good trail surface, heading in the opposite direction of the ‘famous’ Salomon Kielder Marathon route. You head up and over the Bull Crag Peninsula before rejoining the Lakeside Way and heading along the shoreline of this stunning manmade lake back to Leaplish. You won’t be able to help yourself being transfixed by the stunning scenery as you churn out the miles!
TRANQUIL, PEACEFUL, PICTURESQUE, INVIGORATING, INSPIRING, CHALLENGING, MEMORABLE, REWARDING..but just remember...it’s no bus ride!!!
The Kielder 10K closely follows the start of the Kielder Run Bike Run on Saturday October 5th 2013 and sets off an amazing weekend of events where there’s something for everyone! Kielder Junior races and the Kielder Marathon follow on Sunday October 6th, all adding up to a great atmosphere and a fabulous weekend for this stunning region of the UK.
All participants will receive a tech t shirt, superb medal and goody bag.
Prizes available for top 3 male and female as well as age group prizes. Details to follow.
A park and ride system operates over event weekend for all runners and spectators*. A secure baggage area is available for free at Leaplish Waterside park. Post race massage is offered in the finisher’s tent and plenty of fun activities for those not taking part and just enjoying the scenery.
